Product Features
What makes Model X different from a traditionally built home?
Model X is a panelized, steel-framed home. The panels are precision manufactured using a closed wall system, where we integrate the architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing components in a factory setting. This results in a higher quality build, faster construction, and less neighborhood disruption.
What materials are used to build Model X?
Model X uses cold formed steel framing, moisture-resistant drywall, high-performance insulation and upgraded interior finishes. Exterior finishes include fiber cement siding and stucco.
Is Model X designed for California wildfire conditions?
Yes. Noncombustible steel framing provides increased resilience in wildfire-prone areas.
Is Model X all-electric?
Yes. Model X is a 100% electric home with no natural gas.
Are solar panels included?
Yes — solar panels and a battery are installed on your home as part of the construction process, so you move in with them already in place. A Veev associate will walk you through setup options.
Does Model X have EV charging?
Yes. The garage is EV-ready, pre-wired with a dedicated 40A / 240V circuit to support your preferred electric vehicle charger.
What energy-efficient features are included?
Veev’s Model X includes solar panels, recessed LED lighting, a 15 kWh Powerwall home battery storage, high efficiency electric appliances, and advanced insulation. We comply with California’s strict home energy efficiency standards, and many of our features go beyond code minimums.

How much does it cost to purchase and build a Model X?
Building a Model X on your own lot costs approximately $1.2M, or about $400 per square foot. This covers everything from feasibility to home completion and move-in.
What is included in the Model X price?
Permits, municipal fees, standard land development, demolition (if needed), utility connections, and complete home construction are included in Veev’s all-in price.

Several factors can impact your specific project’s pricing and timeline. Do you offer a construction loan to build Model X through the Veev Build program?
In our Build program, Veev carries the cost through construction, which means that you don’t have to get a standard construction loan. Once the home receives the proper signoff by the jurisdiction, you can formalize a conventional mortgage to pay off the balance of construction.
